Changing Perspectives. Changing Lives.

We inspire. We work. We bring people together. We improve our community.

A Youth and Seniors Serving Centre

Daryeel supports local adolescents and elders in our community with employment help, support for the integration of newcomers and making the transition to their new life easier and more comfortable. We offer workshops to newcomers that explain how life is different in their new country and how to enjoy the different cultures we offer. At our workshops we offer language training, basic computer knowledge as well helping create the necessary job skills for the work field. With the high rise in youth dropping out of secondary school, we hope to help them achieve their high school diplomas so that they can further accomplish in their next steps in their lives.

Our vision is:

  • to support youth and seniors through programs and services
  • to help youth enjoy school and help them graduate
  • to reduce crime
  • to reduce isolation among seniors
  • to build relationships between youth and seniors

Daryeel’s mission is to support visible minority seniors and youth from low income neighborhoods in the Nations Capital.
